NICE TO MEET YOU. I’M SARAH.
Sarah A. O’Brien is a writer, painter, photographer, teacher, and editor.
Sarah is currently based outside of Boston, Massachusetts, USA. She is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Boston Accent Lit, an online literary journal. She earned her MFA in Writing from the University of Nebraska-Omaha in December 2018. She graduated with her BA in Creative Writing from Providence College in May 2015. Sarah studied drawing, Italian literature, and photojournalism in Florence, Italy through CAPA International Education in 2013. In May 2019, Sarah released a chapbook of poems, Dancing on a Dead-End Street.
Her paintings and photographs have been published in places such as Third Point Press, Up the Staircase Quarterly, Heather, and Unbroken Journal. She has shown work in the Copley Hall of Art and Hunt-Cavanagh Gallery.
Sarah’s writing has appeared in The Flat Water Stirs: An Anthology of Emerging Nebraska Poets, Rose Quartz Journal, Horny Poetry Review, Peach Fuzz Magazine, Vending Machine Press, Helen Literary Magazine, and other journals. She has forthcoming poems in Boston (Dostoyevsky Wannabe Cities Anthology, 2019), in Dirty Girls Magazine (July 2019), in FlyPaper Magazine (August 2019), and in Grey Borders Magazine (October 2019). Sarah will be releasing her poetry book, Shapeshifter, in July 2019.
